Need to Change Your Vimeo Links
in Your Widget Content Area or on a Page?

If you are using iThemes Builder for your WordPress site then you probably know about the built in Widget Content area.

I love the Widget Content area – an area where you can “post” (enter) your information that will be used in a Widget area. What is so nice about Widget Content is that the “old” way of coding your information into a text widget is no longer necessary. In other words you don’t need to know any HTML or other coding to add bolded text or images for example. Using Widget Content takes care of that for you with it’s powerful editing area, similar to your post and page editor ( you can install a plugin that will act basically the same as Builder’s Widget Content if you own or are working on a site that isn’t a Builder theme – I’ve used the plugin Widget Entries when I’ve had this situation).

This video how-to lesson are for client’s and newbies to learn how to change their Vimeo link in a Widget Content Area and Page:

I have Viper’s Video Quicktags plugin installed to add videos to the Widget Content area, pages, and posts – that’s part of the blue Vimeo icon you see in the video. For more information about this plugin please see my past post How to install Viper’s Video and add a Vimeo Video to a post.

What do you use to add your video’s to widget areas? We’d love to hear from you!

Viper’s Video Quicktags Plugin

Here is a demo of how to install Viper’s Video and add a Vimeo Video to a post.

I really like this plugin as it offers various “video places”, like YouTube, Vimeo, Google, and many others that you can pick and choose from to add an icon to your WordPress pages and posts to easily insert the “page link” to the video to embed a video, whether yours or someone else’s. AND you can customize some of the “video places”, such as color, size, etc. to get the right and perfect look for your web site. Enjoy!

A big thanks to the creator of this plugin, Alex, better know as Viper007Bond (or just Viper).
