I just received an email from my dear friend and associate, Joan Stewart of The Publicity Hound, who is the QUEEN of publicity! She has a TON of info. on her site and I would encourage you to stop by and visit her site – AFTER – you read my post.
In her email she mentioned a FREE tool for “grading” your Press Releases, called Press Release Grader, powered by HubSpot. I was surprised I hadn’t heard about this as I’m a subscriber and fan at HubSpot and do my best to read all their emails – so I must have missed the email about their Press Release Grader.
So I copied and pasted a press release I wrote several years ago into the Grader to see what my “grade” was, filled in my info. and clicked submit. Within a few seconds all kinds of info. was sent instantly back to me of what was good, what was missing and/or needed and some other useful tidbits.
It’s easy to use – and free – you don’t really need to watch the “how-to” video by Mike Volpe, the VP of Marketing over at HubSpot; however I’ve added it here for your convenience.
